Starting a Photography Blog

February 11, 2017 4:08 P.M.

I initially started doing photography as a hobby when I bought an Olympus E-PM2 and a 14-42mm kit lens 4 years ago. It was my first real camera, and I enjoyed shoooting a lot of JPEGs, despite my frustrations on having mostly blurred images at night due to slow shutter speeds and a lack of knowledge on ISO settings.

Fast forward to 4 years, I am now shooting with an OMD E-M5, which I bought last year for a trip to South Korea. My E-PM2 still functions as the second camera body my wife uses (to take pictures of me) despite the broken LCD screen. I've bought a couple of lenses through the years and learned to shoot in RAW and post-process images in Adobe Lightroom. I've been shooting a lot of pictures and posting it in social media. And I still remain as the amateur photographer I was back when I started my photography (lol).

I am starting this Photography Blog since I really want to share the shots I take with everyone. I'm not a pro, and I don't plan on being one, I've been reading entries of photography blogs (Steve Huff, Ming Thein, Phoblographer etc.) and watching a lot of videos on Youtube, but I guess the best way to learn photography is have other people give a feedback of my shots.

I'll be ending this entry with  a couple of pictures from our trip to Baguio City last Christmas.
